Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

Everyone has that one place they can go to feel at peace with their surroundings. Ralph Waldo Emerson in his essay “Nature” describes this feeling like this “Standing on the bare ground, my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball-I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me-I am part or particle of God.” This lake is my refuge. When the lake is sick, we are, too. When the lake is healthy, as it is in this photo, we are all the more healthy because of it.
